As part of the SUMMA research program, a database of concrete transport properties was put together in order to provide data for  STADIUM®. A total of 24 concrete mixtures were prepared. Different types of cement and supplementary cementitious were used. The following properties were evaluated at several time intervals in order to evaluate the effect of hydration on the transport parameters: porosity, diffusion coefficients, and water diffusivity. The database also includes the initial pore solution of the materials as well as the chemical composition of the hydrated paste (portlandite, C-S-H, monosulfate and ettringite content).

As of September 2007, the transport properties had been evaluated after 28, 91, 180 and 365 days of hydration. The two-year testing program started in October 2007 and is still ongoing.

Three series of concrete mixtures were prepared. In each series, concrete batches were prepared at two different water-to-cement ratio: 0.35 and 0.45. The first series was dedicated to materials without supplementary cementitious admixtures. In the second series, supplementary cementitious were substituted to a fraction of the cement. Finally, the third series consisted in concretes prepared with corrosion inhibitors or shrinkage reducing admixtures. The concrete properties that are incorporated in this version of STADIUM® are:
